Keynote: Fraud and the Future of Money, Identity, and Human ExperienceRohit Talwar, CEO, Fast Future
Money, identity, and human experience are central to life in the 21st century. The digitization of each of these domains is enabling massive new transformative possibilities across every aspect of human activity and creating previously unimaginable fraud risks. For example, technologies such as blockchain and AI are enabling identity, experience, and money to be moved into the digital realm with radical new possibilities for how these can all become dynamic with highly personalized functionality. At the same time sensors, edge computing, and biometrics are enabling us to transfer digital functionality into the physical domain, giving a potentially new lease of life to passports, money, and previously mono-functional physical objects.
Look a little further ahead, and breakthroughs in brainprinting, biology, DNA storage, and biological computation open up whole new realms of possibility for what it means to be human, how we might manage identity, the nature of multi-sensory experiences, how we store our financial assets, and how we conduct value exchange. In such a world of disruption, we could see an exponential rise in the scale and impact on fraud. In this fast paced session, global futurist Rohit Talwar will take us on a tour of the trends, developments, and ideas that could shape the future of identity, experience, and money and explore the possible fraud scenarios that could emerge.

Keynote: Seven Key Trends Driving the Evolution of Fraud MitigationJulie Conroy, Research Director, Retail Banking & Payments, Aite Group
Fraud attacks around the globe continue to rapidly increase and evolve. Organized crime rings are successfully combining massive amounts of compromised data with automation. The result: rising account takeover, CNP, and new account fraud losses for banks and merchants, and fintechs alike. At the same time that the threat environment is escalating, expectations from regulators and consumers are rising as well—in starkly conflicting manners. While consumers push for seamless, friction-free customer experiences, regulators around the globe are increasingly mandating remote channel friction. The resulting balancing act for any bank or merchant is a challenging one.
The good news is that sophisticated technologies such as machine learning, robotic process automation, and the hive mind associated with consortia data represent opportunities for the good guys not only to keep pace with the criminals, but potentially even get a step ahead. This session will examine the key trends driving the future of fraud mitigation into 2020 and beyond.
Discussion: How Businesses are Preparing for What's to Come
After hearing from Julie Conroy of the Aite Group about The Future of Fraud, this session will dive deeper into what your business currently views are the biggest threats and challenges ahead and how you are planning, preparing and ultimately combatting fraud. In this workshop, attendees will discuss what tools you currently leverage and which ones you are looking to deploy, what you plan to put your budget towards in the next 1-2 years, and what skills you feel you need to hone to help you prepare for the future of fraud.
